Do you photograph in a studio? / Why do you photograph outside?

Outside is the place to be. It’s got it going on. Kids love to run around and the outside has lots of space for that. Even babies don’t like to sit still so better they have somewhere to explore.

Just having myself and your family in a studio can be somewhat intimidating for children as it’s a very intimate environment. Outside they have enough space to explore by themselves and approach me in their own time.

You probably spend lots of time in your house so let’s get out there and explore all the exciting places you spend less time in.

Even in one location there are a variety of different backgrounds, things to play with and objects to interact with. I think outside will give a more comprehensive photo story of you as a family.

I’d like it to feel more like a day out with friends than a stranger pointing a camera at you.
